• Generate reports for your own business purposes

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

You may NOT:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our algorithms
• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the Service beyond intended usage
• Audit websites without proper authorization
• Use the Service to harm, harass, or compete with Rooftop Signal
• Circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Resell, redistribute, or white-label our reports without written permission
• Submit malicious URLs, malware, or exploit attempts
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5.1 Pricing

• All prices are in USD
• Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
• Existing subscriptions maintain original pricing until renewal

5.2 Monthly Subscriptions

• Monthly subscription ($349/mo) is charged monthly on your subscription anniversary date
• Payment processed securely via Stripe

5.3 Annual Subscriptions

• Annual subscription ($299/mo) billed annually at $3,588/yr
• Auto-renewal unless cancelled before the next annual billing cycle
• Prorated refunds available within first 90 days (see Refund Policy)
• Payment processed securely via Stripe

5.4 Payment Failures

• Stripe will retry failed payments automatically
• Access suspended after 3 consecutive payment failures
• Account may be terminated after 30 days of non-payment

7.1 Service Uptime

• We strive for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• Scheduled maintenance announced 48 hours in advance (when possible)
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice

7.2 Crawling Limitations

• Free audits: Up to 10 pages crawled
• Paid audits: Up to 200 pages crawled (subscription tier)
• Crawler respects robots.txt and rate limits
• Some sites may block or restrict our crawler

7.3 AI Analysis Limitations

• Recommendations generated by OpenAI GPT-4 are suggestions, not guarantees
• AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete recommendations
• Industry detection is best-effort; manual override available

8.1 Our IP

• Rooftop Signal name, logo, and branding are our trademarks
• Audit algorithms, scoring methodology, and report templates are proprietary
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission

8.2 Your Content

• You retain ownership of your website content
• You grant us a limited license to crawl, analyze, and generate reports from your public website data
• We may use anonymized aggregate data for product improvement and marketing

8.3 Report Ownership

• PDF reports generated for you are your property
• You may share reports internally within your organization
• Commercial redistribution requires written permission

10.1 As-Is Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Merchantability
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy of AI recommendations
• Compatibility with all websites or CMS platforms

10.2 No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that:

• Implementing our recommendations will improve your AI visibility or SEO
• Our audit will identify all structured data issues
• Third-party AI systems (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) will index or reference your site

13.1 By You

• Cancel subscriptions anytime via Stripe billing portal
• Request account deletion by emailing hello@rooftopsignal.com
• Data deleted within 90 days of account closure

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay for services
• Abuse the Service (e.g., excessive crawling)

13.3 Effect of Termination

• Access to the Service immediately revoked
• Outstanding invoices remain due
• No refunds for terminated accounts (except as required by law)

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, contact us at hello@rooftopsignal.com to attempt resolution.

15.2 Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA
• Disputes resolved in Delaware courts
• You waive any objections to jurisdiction or venue

15.3 Arbitration (Optional)

Either party may elect binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules.

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rooftop Signal.

16.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

16.3 No Waiver

Failure to enforce any right does not waive that right in the future.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign to a successor or affiliate.

16.5 Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, internet outages, third-party API failures).
